Terms and conditions

    1. Arena Hotel provides a furnished room and you are responsible for all chattels supplied at check-in for the duration of your stay. You warrant to return those chattels at the end of your stay in the same good order and repair they were received in notwithstanding reasonable use.

    2. The intention of the student is to stay with Arena Hotel for the duration of the study period. The period of your agreed occupation is for a minimum of one month from the date of this agreement or to the following date:______________

    3. Rent is to be paid at least one week in advance. Our preference is for payments to be made by Direct Debit. A $400.00 bond and 2 weeks rent in advance is required before check in. The Bond may be used to pay for unpaid rental, damage to your room or building, lost keys or access cards, remedial charges for costs incurred relating to fire or security call outs, early termination or any other item of cost incurred by Arena Hotel on your behalf that remains unpaid. If any deductions are made from the bond during your stay it is to be topped back up on demand to the $400 within one week of the demand.

    4. Rent arrears of one week or more entitles Arena Hotel to serve you with immediate notice to terminate this agreement.

    5. You will be provided with a swipe tab and keys that provides access to the building and your room. The tab has an individual number that is registered to you. Should you lose your access tab or keys a replacement will cost you $50. Failure to return your access tab or keys at the end of your stay will result in $50 being deducted from your bond. Access tabs are exclusive to you. You must not supply your access tab to any other person at any time. You should expect the access doors to the premises be locked at all times. Should you forget your access tab and require to be let in to the premises at any time, you will be charged a call out fee. This fee is $25, 8am to 6pm and $50, 6pm to 8am.

    6. The Management may conduct room inspections once a month or when deemed necessary and will notify the tenant in writing a day before the inspection.

    7. Management reserves the right to change your allocated room at any time with one week's written notice.

    8. Cooking in the rooms is prohibited. All cooking must be done in the kitchens provided.

    9. It is your responsibility to leave all kitchens and common areas tidy and clean after use.

    10. It is your responsibility to keep your room tidy and clean and to remove all rubbish. Bins are provided outside the front door and may be used by students to dispose of rubbish.

    11. The use of illegal drugs on the premises is prohibited; any breach of that rule will result in eviction and be reported to the authorities.

    12. SMOKING is entirely prohibited in the building at all times.

    13. The fire sensors installed are for the protection of all occupants and must not be tampered with in any way. You are liable for any call out fee for setting off the smoke alarm or fire alarm (NZ Fire Service call out fee is $1000) and you may be evicted immediately for any offence related to the fire system or equipment.

    14. Alcohol is prohibited.

    15. Noise. At all times you must be aware of other guests right to peace and quiet and keep any noise to a reasonable level. Noise that in the opinion of Management is unreasonable must be reduced to an acceptable level immediately. Failure to comply with a Management directive to reduce noise will result in your immediate eviction.

    16. You are responsible for your visitors at all times and the visitors may be asked to leave should Management deem their behavior or presence is unacceptable in any way. NO visitors are allowed after 10.00pm unless prior arrangement is made with management.

    17. Management reserves the right to reject applications if it believes the applicant doesn't meet student requirements.
I have read and understood the terms and conditions above and agree to abide by them at all times while I am a guest of Arena Hotel. I am fully responsible for the information I have provided on my registration form and acknowledge that any false, misleading or incomplete statement made in the application for accommodation may result in the refusal by the Hotel to accept me as a guest or termination my stay at a later date.
